2.5 cups of flour
1 cup sweet potato. Cooked and mashed
2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
2 large eggs
water
Preheat oven to 350.
Using dough hooks mix together all ingredients. Add water one teaspoon at a time until the dough is just workable but still dry. Knead a few times to make sure everything is mixed in.
Roll out dough out on a lightly floured surface and to a 1/2 inch thick. Cut into pieces or use your favorite cookie cutter. I found this cute bone one at Walmart in the cake decorating aisle!
Bake for 40 minutes. If they are thicker you will have to leave them in a little longer. If you want really crunch bones, shut off the oven and leave them in there for a few hours or overnight.
I know that some people prefer not to use regular flour. So feel free to swap it out for wheat flour. I just didn't have any on hand and I know my dogs are OK with that.
** Word to the wise, try to dust off any extra flour off of them before you put them in the oven. The flour will burn and cause a little smoke. Not much, but just enough to somehow set off EVERY smoke alarm in your house...just trust me**
