I almost didn't do Easter Baskets since the boys were kinda over them last year. But I couldn't do it. They were not your typical baskets. I mean who needs candy when you could have beef jerky?! Cascarones (confetti eggs) though, are required. But instead of the usual cracking them on peoples heads and starting an all out war, we played baseball with them! No contact but still fulfilling the need to hulk smash things.
Coffee is back in my life and it is glorious. Although I am finding that I don't crave it like I used to. And I prefer less sugar in it now.
Finishing up some backyard work felt good. I used muscles I didn't even know I had, got sunburned and I was sore for days, but for the most part, its done. Plus I threw away half of the junk in the shed. Winning!
We got the sad news that Davids Aunt had passed away on Monday. He didn't want to leave the dogs and with them both being up there in years we wouldn't put them though the trip. Im glad I convinced David to take the boys and go. The boys got to see some cousins and they love it. Another reminder that we are only 4 hours away from all of his family and we should make a bigger effort to visit more often.
After spending a few weeks with my little sister a few hours away, Mom is coming back for a little big before going back home to Florida. Im thankful to have gotten to see her more in the last year than I have in the last 5 years.
Having the house to myself for a few days has been nice. While I wish I could have gone with them, my kitchen and bathrooms have been clean for 24 hours! I slept when I felt like it and aside from feeding animals and letting them out I have zero responsibilities. Something I have never known. Growing up, I was taking care of my siblings. Its weird but I am enjoying it for sure. I do miss my guys something terrible though.
Oh! Yesterday I had to recheck my INR. My blood has been a fickle jerk lately so I have been on 2 week rechecks but after being in range for 3 checks, I'm back on monthly visits. Its the little things y'all! I'm so excited about it!
David just texted me to let me know we have tickets to see Avengers: Endgame and I'm so excited. It will be the perfect way to make up for a few days apart. Family time is so very important.
Anthony and his friend found the cutest little kitten on the way to the bus stop. Sugar, is her name now and she now lives across the street from me! I have the best neighbors.
The sun is shining and it looks like we will have a few days of great weather before the rain rolls back in next week. Sunshine makes everything better.
