Plants, Peels and {Toilet} Paper

The Fridays just keep coming!  Faster than the one before it.  Is it because everyone is home?  Or because I really just want to be done with this pandemic?  Or maybe it is just me?  David is home today and when I realized he was still in bed this morning I though, "wait, its already Saturday?"  I was so confused.  So I grabbed a cup of coffee and am out on the patio trying to look back at a week that flew by so fast, I hope I can remember some of it.

Here are a few things that made me happy this week.

• We found Toilet Paper.
• My Mom made us masks.
• Wearing real shoes.
• A new book.
• My foot peel finale.
• IG video chats.
• A great Cardiology appointment.
• Rain and Thunderstorms.
• New growth on all the patio plants.
• Cactus for Koopa.

Is the TP shortage a San Antonio thing or is it a US thing?  David ordered a package because he couldn't find any in store.  And even then, delivery is at the end of the month.  So today we had to stand in line at Sams and pray there was some left by the time they let us in the store.  He isn't usually off during the week and on the weekends, shoot, you have to show up super early.  We got lucky today for.  And our butts are covered for another few weeks.

Most non quarantine days you will find me barefoot or in slippers.   My feel are peeling from the foot peel, so slippers were out of the question the other day.  I wore shoes and I felt like so civilized.  It was weird and actually kinda funny once I started thinking about it.  I was squirming in my chair at the doctors office and couldn't figure out what was different.  Shoes.  Yeah, I know.  My weird is showing.

After a nice winters sleep Koopa is awake and ready to eat.  I forgot how much he likes to eat.  And with all the rain we got, his cactus has lots of new pads on it.  Man does he love him some cactus.  And I love his bite marks!

This weekend the plan is to stay home and enjoy the long weekend.  Tomorrow we be all about yard work and then I'll throw some burgers on the grill and later Im sure there will be more S'mores.  The threat of the Quarantine15(lbs) is real.  We might have to go for a walk or two also.
